Eclipse #1 was a great intro to this series, in the future a solar event makes people live nocturnal lives because the sun will kill you. On top of that, we see a serial killer is running amuck threatening people and using the sun to kill people. It turns out that this person is not affected by the sun in that he can take the sun’s rays. We meet David Baxter who works as an Iceman for the Corporation Solarity is tasked with keeping the daughter of the Chairman safe. He begrudgingly agrees to this and to go after the murderer. At the end of the issue, we see him go after the killer who seems not to be affected by the sun and its dangerous rays.
This article is spoiler free. Therefore, I can’t divulge into any of the details of the core story. We see ten years ago the day of the flare and how the event gets started, and then the brilliant story continues, the search continues for the serial killer; we see more of New York and the affect the solar event had on the city. We go further down the rabbit hole looking to find the killer and to see who is killer. We learn more about New York what occurred and some possibilities for who is the murderer? Is the killer someone who used to work for Solarity we will find out?
