Elsewhere #2-Have you seen Fred?
by Ashish Thomas
Previously Elsewhere #1 which was excellent was reviewed a great beginning check out my review here
Now we are here it’s time for Issue 2
The Issue kick offs with a reveal that the Man locked up is not Fred Noonan, it’s….. D.B. Cooper
D.B. Cooper is still infamous If you need a refresher on who D.B. Cooper is/was check out this Youtube video about D.B. Cooper and the infamous skyjacking here.
D.B. recounts what happened to him and how he ended up captive. It seems after he jumped there was a flash of light and he ended up as Lord Kragen’s guest. Amelia Earhart then recounts how she and Fred ended up on the island it seems she and Fred encountered the same flash of light. We then find out that time seems not to work the same as Amelia disappeared in the 30’s and DB disappeared in the 70’s. Next, the duo is summoned to Lord Kragen, who knows who Earhart is and whose arrival was foretold and sentences her to death. It will be interesting to see who is under the mask.
Then we see Amelia being led to a room to be slaughtered but Sorvina the executioner is friends with Cort and Tavel arrange for her to escape and rejoin them. Before she can escape she needs to grab D.B. In order to avoid suspicion from Kragen we see Amelia stab Sorvina and escape into a “trash chute”.
Amelia goes down the Trash chute and land in water where she is saved by Tavel and Cort and taken to their home. We learn through another rebel Myrick that there are other outsiders around. When Amelia asks Cort tells her that there are no others. We see DB and Amelia talk then a warning it seems danger is coming… In order to find out what it is you need to read the issue.
